As a Citizens’ Advisory Committee member at the Winter Springs Police Department, I have seen firsthand the dedication and hard work of our local law enforcement. It has been an honor to serve as the Campaign Treasurer for Sheriff Dennis Lemma, filing his qualifying paperwork and supporting his re-election campaign. The experience has deepened my appreciation for our law enforcement agencies and their crucial role in maintaining public safety.
Key initiatives for enhancing public safety in Winter Springs include:
• Strengthening Police Presence: We must increase the visibility and presence of law enforcement in our neighborhoods to deter crime and ensure a rapid response to emergencies.
• Community Policing: Promoting community policing initiatives that build trust between residents and law enforcement, fostering collaboration and mutual respect.
• Enhanced Training: Ensuring our police officers receive continuous training in the latest techniques and technologies to effectively address public safety challenges.
Focus on Public Health

• Combating the Opioid Crisis: Partnering with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office to eradicate fentanyl and other illegal drugs from our community. Implementing a non-judicial approach to assist those struggling with addiction and providing them with the support they need to recover.
• Mental Health Support: Leading initiatives to offer comprehensive mental health services to our residents. Recognizing that mental health is as important as physical health, we will work to destigmatize mental health issues and provide accessible resources for those in need.
• Emergency Preparedness: We must ensure that our city is prepared for emergencies like natural disasters. This includes maintaining robust emergency response plans and ensuring our residents are informed and equipped to handle emergencies.
Promoting Healthy Lifestyles
Encouraging healthy lifestyles is essential for the overall well-being of our community. My initiatives include:
• Improving Parks and Recreation: We are upgrading our parks and recreational facilities to provide safe, accessible, and engaging spaces for physical activity and community gatherings.
