Paul Diaz: A Commitment to Community & Fiscal Responsibility
Paul Diaz is a dedicated and experienced accountant who is strongly committed to serving the Winter Springs community. With a background in federal tax practice and IRS tax resolution, Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his campaign for the Winter Springs City Commission. His journey, however, extends beyond his professional accomplishments, reflecting a deep-rooted passion for community service and fiscal responsibility.
Early Life and Education
Paul was born and raised in South Dade, Florida, and later attended the University of Miami, where he earned an undergraduate degree in Finance. After marrying Valerie Clarke of Oviedo, Paul and Valerie moved permanently to Central Florida and made Winter Springs their home. Paul also holds an MBA in Accounting, which has equipped him with a solid financial management and strategic planning foundation. His federal certifications complement this educational background as an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) and IRS Certifying Acceptance Agent (CAA). These designations signify his ability to represent taxpayers before the IRS and handle complex tax issues without limitations.
Professional Career
In his professional capacity, Paul operates a successful federal tax practice specializing in IRS tax resolution. His firm, THE TAX CUTTERY™, is renowned for its exceptional service and dedication to helping clients navigate the intricacies of tax laws and regulations. As an IRS Enrolled Agent, Paul has unlimited representation rights before the Internal Revenue Service, allowing him to represent any taxpayer in any tax matter. As a Dave Ramsey Endorsed Tax Provider (Ramsey Trusted), Paul has earned a reputation for his ethical approach and unwavering commitment to client advocacy.
Vision for Winter Springs
A clear vision of fiscal responsibility and community-focused growth drives Paul Diaz’s campaign for the Winter Springs City Commission. He aims to leverage his extensive experience in accounting and tax to ensure transparent and efficient management of city resources. Paul is committed to implementing policies that promote economic growth, enhance public services, and maintain Winter Springs’s unique charm.
One of Paul’s key campaign issues is the creation of a special business district for West Winter Springs. This initiative seeks to establish a dedicated area to support local businesses, foster economic development, and create a vibrant business community. This district would function similarly to a chamber of commerce, providing resources, networking opportunities, and advocacy for business interests in the west side of Winter Springs.
Personal Life
Paul resides in Winter Springs with his family, enjoying the community’s welcoming atmosphere and natural beauty. His wife, Valerie Clarke, had a career that spanned more than fifteen years with the Florida Legislature in both the House and Senate. She now serves as a civilian with a prominent law enforcement agency. They live with their son, “P.J.,” a Disney Cast Member. Paul’s personal and professional experiences have instilled in him a deep appreciation for the values of hard work, integrity, and community service.
“I believe in the power of community involvement. By increasing public participation in budgeting and financial decisions, we can enhance transparency and ensure that the voices of our residents are heard and respected.”
